Transfer Your Domain To Web Savers

Already have a domain name registered somewhere else? Not a problem.

If you would prefer to leave it registered with your current registrar, you can choose to associate your existing domain name with your web hosting account during the order process, without registering it with Web Savers. However, if you would rather enjoy the convenience of having all of your web services handled by us, we are able to transfer your domain name and extend its registration for you.

Unlock Your Domain

The first step is to ensure your domain name isn’t locked; a lock will prevent the domain from being transferred. Please login to your current registrar’s control panel and disable any options referring to locking or preventing transfer of the domain. If your domain is a dot ca, then it is fine if your registrar says it cannot unlock the domain.

Get Your EPP Transfer Key or Code

For just about every TLD, you will need a transfer key which can be obtained from within the control panel of your current registrar. If you do not have access to their control panel, please email them to retrieve the transfer code. Check our knowledgebase article for specific instructions on retrieving your EPP transfer code from the more common registrars.
