Already have a domain name registered somewhere else? Not a problem.

If you would prefer to leave it registered with your current registrar, you can choose to associate your existing domain name with your web hosting account during the order process, without registering it with Web Savers. However, if you would rather enjoy the convenience of having all of your web services handled by us, we are able to transfer your domain name and extend its registration for you.

Unlock Your Domain

The first step is to ensure your domain name isn’t locked; a lock will prevent the domain from being transferred. Please login to your current registrar’s control panel and disable any options referring to locking or preventing transfer of the domain.

Transfer Keys or Codes (.com, .net)

For .com, .net, and .us registrations, you will need a transfer key which can be obtained from within the control panel of your existing registrar. If you do not have access to their control panel, please email them to retrieve the transfer code.

Email Verification (.ca and others)

For .ca and many other TLDs, transfer keys are not provided and verification is instead handled by email. Once you start the transfer process, we will automatically send a transfer request to the email address associated with your existing domain name. Please be sure that you have access to the associated address. Once you approve the request, the transfer process will complete. Please enter 000000 as the transfer key if it is requested when transferring a .ca domain.

Once your domain is ready to be transferred, choose the “Transfer My Existing Domain” option below, enter your domain name, and click check domain.
